NEW SOUTH WALES LITLINK VARUNA WRITING PROGRAM
Each year, Arts NSW funds the NSW LitLink Varuna Writing program, providing an exciting range of professional development opportunities exclusively for the writers of regional NSW. The NSW Litlink Varuna writing programs uses and extends the resources of Varuna, The Writers' House, Australia's national centre for residencies and writing programs.
The LitLink Varuna Writing Program has three parts:
The LitLink Varuna Residencies program offers regional NSW writers one week of independent writing time and two personal consultations with Varuna's Creative Director. The residency will include accommodation and full board at Varuna, the Writers' House.
The aim of the NSW Litlink - Varuna Writing Residential program is to give writers the benefit of guidance as they use the time to develop their manuscript. The program also creates opportunities to make contacts with other writers and professionals within the publishing industry.
Writers applying for a NSW LitLink Varuna Residency will also be automatically included in applications for the Macquarie Group Foundation LongLines Varuna Workshops and for the Macquarie Group Foundation LongLines NSW Varuna Residency (a two-week residency).
