VARUNA FELLOWSHIPS 2008Photo of Peter Bishop by Paul Cosgrave

From Peter Bishop

The Board of the Eleanor Dark Foundation Ltd is delighted to announce the Varuna Fellowship List for 2008. Since 2004, Fellowships have been selected by a committee of four Varuna alumni –all writers who work across a range of genres and have very varied experiences of professional writing culture. Each year the committee expresses real excitement at the range and quality of writing in development all round Australia. In 2008 there were 76 applications –and as well as the 20 that have been selected there were 8 who were strong contenders. We warmly congratulate all the writers who have been selected, and look forward to sharing the Varuna experience with you!
