Queensland Writers Centre Fellowships — Varuna, The National Writers' House

This opportunity for a two-week residency, including travel costs and manuscript consultation, is open to members of the Queensland Writers’ Centre.

Queensland Writers Centre offers the following two Varuna fellowships:

The Queensland Writers Centre Established Writers Fellowship is open to established writers with at least one publication.

The Queensland Writers Centre Underrespresented Writers Fellowship is open to established or emerging writers from underrepresented groups.

Each of these Fellowships include a two-week residency at Varuna, with full board and accommodation including a prepared evening meal, uninterrupted time to write in your own private studio, a one-hour mentoring session with a writing consultant, and the companionship of your fellow writers.

Dates of residency: The two-week residencies will take place any time in the 12 months following the date of the offer.

FEES

There is no application fee, and no program fees apply. Applicants who are not members of Queensland Writers Centre can apply for membership as part of their application.

The recipients will also receive support for reasonable travel costs.
