Helen is a graduate of Sydney University and The National Institute of Dramatic Art. She has written for theatre, television and radio; her play Autumn Exchanges won an AWGIE Award, and Ladies At Lunch won the ABC Bicentennial Literary Award for Drama. She has published essays and short stories in a variety of literary journals and is working on two related novels. Her most recent works appear in Southerly, Griffith Review and in the current and upcoming editions of Meanjin. Helen works at Varuna in a range of writing programs along with Peter Bishop and Carol Major.
