Jane Clifton

Jane Clifton first came to Varuna in 2006 on a fellowship and fell in love with the big, old house. Not a lot of crime-fiction writers make it to Varuna but she felt very much at home. In 2008 an Australia Council fellowship of six weeks at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre made it possible for Jane to travel to the northern hemisphere in order to work on a non-fiction book in which she describes what happened when she went back to visit every house she ever lived in – all 32 of them.

The Address Book was published by Penguin on May 30th, 2011.
