Jeanette was born and raised in Broken Hill,  silver town of the Australian outback. Her professional writing career began in Canada as a Children’s Television scriptwriter and radio broadcaster. A number of her poems and short stories have been published in Australian anthologies. She has created  and conducted community writing projects that culminated in the publications: The Shakespeare Ladies; Cybertales; Cyberwriters;  Lines from Barellan.  She holds a Doctor of Creative Arts from the University of Technology Sydney.  In 2016, she was the recipient of a Varuna Publisher’s Introduction Program Residency for her Creative non-fiction work,  Bone and Beauty : The Ribbon Boys Rebellion, which is to be published by Queensland University Press in 2020. She now lives in Beaconsfield, golden town of the  West Tamar Valley, Tasmania.
