Louise Mentor
Louise Mentor is a versatile screen, theatre, and fiction writer. Her screenwriting credits include co-writer of feature thriller ‘Pimped’ (PLAYGROUND FILMS); script editor on feature action/adventure ‘Stalked’ (PRODIGY FILMS), script editor on the Battle for the Tarkine documentary film treatment (Eutropia Films), and development writer for Obscura Australis – a virtual reality horror series (Ignition Immersive). Her theatre credits include co-writer on Faces in the Shadows for Queensland Theatre Company in affiliation with the Indigenous Mentorship artistic development program, writer/director of The Beginning at The Old Fitzroy Hotel (The Revolter Collective), writer on A Win-Win Situation and co-writer on Far from Perfect for the Cold Read Series (CRS) Melbourne. Anthology publications include A New Skin for Contemporary Fables Vol. 1 (Gilgamesh) and The Stoning for Haunted Rock (Arts Vic). She also works as a content editor for Rossscammm Films & Marketing and is a regular contributor to the Newtown Review of Books. Louise is the recipient of the prestigious Varuna/Harper Collins Awards for Manuscript Development for her novel, Squealer; and the Ellen Kemp Memorial Writer’s Prize (Highly Commended) for her short story, Herbs. She has a Bachelor of Arts (QUT), and is an AWG member.
