Peter Mitchell is the author of the poetry chapbook, The Scarlet Moment (Picaro Press, 2009). A longtime resident of the Rainbow Region (NSW), he works across genres, writing poetry, short stories, memoir, literary criticism and a range of journalism. His writing has been and is published in international and national journals, magazines and anthologies. In April/May 2014, he fulfilled the Dorothy Hewett Flagship Fellowship (Varuna Writers' Centre), working on his project, Fragments of the Lurgi: A Mosaic. Recently, he was awarded an Artist with Disability grant (Australia Council of the Arts).
