A half-day workshop to learn what makes a cohesive and compelling story.
Learn what makes a cohesive and compelling story by breaking it into the moments that matter.
What makes a scene? What are the various scene types, and what do they have to accomplish? How do a character's moment-to-moment desires within scenes propel stories forward?
Discover how to take stories apart one scene at a time, and think through your own works of fiction as a series of connected and craftable pieces, enabling every word to contribute to the greater whole.
This workshop involves a balance of theory, discussion and writing time, with encouragement but no expectation to share your work.
Open to novelists, screenwriters, playwrights, and anyone interested in writing craft.
This workshop is an 18+ event.
