ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
Join award-winning poet Felicity Plunkett for a fabulous weekend workshop in the Blue Mountains.
Across the weekend, you'll explore poems and prompts covering form, craft and practice, drawing on Felicity's experience as a poet, critic, editor and educator. Sessions blend short presentations, lively discussion, and generous space to draft, share and workshop your own work. Felicity will guide you through starting strong drafts, giving and receiving useful feedback, and building habits that sustain a long-term creative practice.
Every participant can workshop a poem of up to one page (shareable in advance), plus write in response to fresh prompts and receive feedback from Felicity and fellow poets throughout the weekend.
Whether you're a Varuna regular or joining for the first time, this course assumes some existing experience reading and writing poetry.
Leave with new poems, new connections, and a treasury of prompts and practices to carry forward. This workshop is an 18+ event.
